Four examinations a year. Each has its own report card, and all four combine into the final result.
| Examination | When | Full marks | Counts towards the final result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st Unit Examination | June – July | 50 | 10% |
| Half Yearly Examination | Sep – Oct | 100 | 30% |
| 2nd Unit Examination | Dec – Jan | 50 | 10% |
| Annual Examination | Feb – Mar | 100 | 50% |
In each subject, the four examination percentages are added together in the weights above, so every subject ends the year with a score out of 100. A student passes a subject at 33%.
The final report card also shows each student's position in the class and the days they were present out of the school's working days. A student who passed every subject is placed above one with a compartmental, whatever their totals; a student who must repeat the session is not given a position.
